Not everyone has a smart phone or tap card. Please add ability to manually enter card info and also a cash payment option for app.

Just looking at ways we could use Zeffy for our school fundraisers. While it seems it will work well for funding drives, etc. I was hoping to be able to replace square as our "register" at the plant sale, etc. but we will not be able to use Zeffy at in-person events without having option to log cash and checks.

Tapping may not work for different reasons. It may be intentionally disabled by the cardholder; the amount may be over the maximum permitted by the card issuer or the card may be physically damaged. Just like typical POS terminals, it would be convenient to be able to type a card number in the app when tapping does not work. Using the camera to capture the card information quickly could be another option in addition to manual input. Such a feature should be relatively easy to integrate into the app as it would not require any additional hardware.

We had Apple devices at our event but the inability to type in a credit card number when a chip wasn't available or didn't read was crippling. We had to quickly add our old square account back in to do that and pay the fees. We ran into chip cards not working the most on credit union debit cards even if a chip was present. We tried a workaround of making a browser based form as well, but that required another device that was connect and also a separate account. If we logged into that form w/ the same account it logged us out of the other. Likewise, trying to flip from the zeffy app to a browser would result in the chip reader having to be reconnected again when flipping back which is a known issue as well and seems to be getting upvoted.

Perhaps even the ability to connect to a third party swiper device might have taken those other cards with the strip as a backup.
