I want to be able to add categories so my bidders can easily find items and look at the categories they are interested in. Sometimes I can have over 50 items and this would help sort through them more easily.

We definitely need this feature. We would like to be able to add a category to each donation item and we need the capability for our bidders to be able to filter on the user-end. We can have 100's of donation items in our online auction and it is overwhelming for our bidders to see all the items at once. They need the option to be able to filter to only see certain categories, as they choose.
