I'd like to be able to register contacts as companies (without the need for a first and last name). In other words, when someone makes a donation on behalf of a company or if I add a donation manually, their contact should be registered as a company and I shouldn't have to add an individual. If I filter by this company, all donations should show up on the company contact page, despite the individual.

Definitely would like this - I'll mention that we're currently considering migrating fully to Zeffy from Givebutter and this is something Givebutter does - you can have different contact types, Individual vs Company. Not all donors are going to be individuals PLUS it makes it easer to manage sponsorship-type donations

We need a Company contact type only that all donations will fall under. I have companies that donate to multiple fundraising events every year and I would like to be able to look up one company card that shows the running total for the year for tax and thank you purposes. Right now I search for the company and I while the 'contact' shows up, i have blank fields because there is no first or last name. So I have to click in to each one to make sure it is the correct company and then, one by one, add up how much from a certain time frame. I wish I could just click into Company "XYZ" and see that the 4 different transactions that were made in a year and to which campaign.

Membership
We really need a way to see the Company information and link individuals to the company. In some cases, we have members who own a company that donate. They want to keep their personal and business contact information separate. Also would like to see the company as a column on the contacts page.

Would be helpful to have 1 contact record for per company with space for multiple individual contacts to be listed underneath. Also a field for job title and notes about these contacts (i.e. new to role, leaving at end of year).

Great news about being able to import Company, but the field is of nominal use until
1) Company appears on the main contact list screen
2) It is part of "Export All Contacts"

It appears when a corporate donation is received, there is no way to log detailed contact information (principal name, phone #, email, etc. could that be changed to something similar to personal donor contact details please.

It would in fact be important to be able to create an “organization/company” contact with the possibility of indicating (without obligation) one or more resource persons, if one wishes. For example, I am creating the Dollarama contact as an organization/company. Then, I can - at my choice - add one or more resource persons, examples: the VP marketing, the deputy CEO, etc. with their respective email and telephone number, without having to create other contacts for them since they are not linked to a transaction but to an “organization/company”.

We need the ability to enter a donor as a COMPANY for longevity and perpetual relationship (for example - when company contact no longer works for the company and there is a new individual with a first and last name.). Is there any way to do this now. If we tag the donor as a COMPANY we cannot even search the COMPANY tag (under the contacts - it still doesn't show the company names)
