I can see that this request to default to monthly gifts vs one-time donations goes back several years. I'll leave my request here as well for the feature (its very important to our campaign) but I suspect the product team isn't actually paying attention to this thread. If it is, I challenge you to update the community on when such a change might be implemented - show us you're paying attention :)

Our campaign is also losing monthly donations. it looks like they are giving to monthly since it has a heart next to the monthly tab. It confuses people. Please allow us to default to monthly on the back end.
It looks like this has been a long requested change.

Requesting a feature on the backend to default donations to monthly recurring. I have lost multiple recurring donations because donors think it's already set up that way, and having it as a preset would be great. Many nonprofits rely on monthly giving programs (like us) so the opportunity to streamline this with a toggle switch on the backend would be great. Thanks!

We're also running a monthly campaign right now and the fact that we can't make it default to monthly is causing a problem as especially with the little heart next to "monthly" folks think that's what is active at the moment.
This is such a huge priority!

I'd love to have this option as well. We're doing a campaign where we're specifically asking for monthly donations and it feels like a real disadvantage to not be able to set this as the default option on the form. Thank you!

I’d love to see an option to generate a direct link to the “monthly giving” form/button. On our website, we explain the difference between one-time and recurring gifts, and it would be powerful to have a dedicated button for each. That way, when someone chooses “Give Monthly,” they don’t have to manually switch it in the form.
For ministries like ours, small recurring donations are far more impactful than one large one-time gift, because they give us stability to plan ahead and sustain our work. Having a direct monthly link would make it much easier to encourage supporters to choose this option right from the start.
OR in the meantime, maybe the ability to add a message above the choose amount to explain why it is so important for us to get monthly donations.

We are running a recurring donation campaign and would like for the monthly donation tab be prioritized. We do not want to turn off the one time donation option completely, just have the recurring donation option be what they see first on the donation landing page. Thank you.

I have had 3 instances already where someone has made a one-time donation when they intended to make a monthly donation. At least one of these people is NOT at a tech-disadvantage. I think they see the "monthly" tab and assume thats what they're setting up.
