Gifting a membership or purchasing a membership for another person

We have several organizations/practices that want to purchase memberships for all of their staff but right now there is no way to purchase a membership for another person as the email through which the payment is made becomes the "member" rather than having the member created by the form fields for the item purchased. If someone were to order 5 memberships we would want them to be able to see this transaction in their account but we would want the memberships purchased to then generate the member account for each person the membership so we can manage our membership list more accurately.

This makes perfect sense! I hope this is an added feature in the near future.

BIG YES to wanting to offer GIFT MEMBERSHIPS -- not only would this be very revenue generating, this would additionally solve a secondary problem we face when people buy memberships with their spouse's or business' credit cards and our CRM sorts them into two people - also a problem since our people are authors who frequently use pen names as their membership name

Enter a different name to appear on the membership card

The buyer name appears on the membership, but sometimes people purchase memberships for others. It would be nice to add a different name.

All of our memberships are individual, but most are purchased in groups by a parent/head of household for all individuals in the household who need one.
We would like one person to be able to buy several memberships at once.

I agree with this
To give some context, we started a gift of membership campaign but it required a different form than the membership form, and it needed us to send an discount code for the third person to get the "gift of membership"..
it would be ideal that the regular membership forms would allow for the name of "other people" different than the buyer (eg. on credit card) to be registered as members.
