Impact of the “Invite Users” Change on Law-Enforcement Fundraising Operations

The recent change to the “invite users” functionality has significantly disrupted our operations. Our organization works directly with law enforcement agencies, and the current requirement for users to sign up to view donation information is not compatible with their operational constraints.
For transparency purposes, we request that all 33 of our active accounts be configured back to their previous settings to allow access via email address solely for viewing donation information, without requiring account creation or sign-up. Requiring law-enforcement partners to register creates confusion, adds unnecessary administrative burden, and ultimately deters participation in fundraising efforts.
As a result of this change, we have discontinued inviting clients to their donation link on the platform, as the current process has proven counterproductive to transparency, efficiency, and engagement.

Hi there! Thank you for your feedback. I'd like to make sure I understand it fully to ensure the proper follow-up internally. Can you specify, in more detail, what you were trying to achieve and why it is no longer possible?
The new user management features allow for more granular user access, and still allows for sending notification email for new payments without having people register as an account user.
I just want to make sure I fully understand your need here. Thanks again for your time and feedback!

Maryse from Zeffy I used to have a space to add the emails (separated by commas) for all who could ONLY view the donation campaigns. I liked this as I could designate the email address to the bank account associated it (we have 33 accounts) and also the K9 handler officer overseeing their campaign for full transparency....and disregard the email account that I set up all the accounts with for organization. That option is no longer present in my accounts. Now, it is an "invite collaborators," and then they have to sign in with a password (cops can't do that with their work email) to see the transparency provided. Now, I need to have all my 33 Zeffy accounts have the fundraising observation, emails associated with them as the main email I have is for communication, not donation monitoring. I can flip the little slider button to do this...however, I have to log in to each email account to invite for a campaign that alread has a motherload email for every Zeffy account I have (but that email was set up two years ago to open all the accounts, not for viewing funds). Having to swap to another email (and log in to that one) while already logged in with the account email is very messy. Cops are not clicking on their link as it's not feasible for them to log in and have a password (whereas before they did nothing, their email was all I put in and they got their alerts). Before, just putting their email in with the email we had for that account (separated by a comma) was perfect. That's what we want back. However, I have to log in to each email account to invite for a campaign that already has a motherload email for every Zeffy account I have (but that email was set up two years ago to open all the accounts, not for viewing funds).

x Thanks for the additional details! Alright so I first want to apologize for the misunderstanding and tell you that we still allow setting up emails to receive notifications only, without having to create an account.
In order to do that, you'll have to add an email address in the "Invite collaborators" section, and use the little pen icon to only toggle the "Notification for new payments" option, and make sure all other access types are disabled. Then, click the button to invite them, but it won't actually invite them, they'll only receive the notifications. Just to clarify, we're in the process of changing the copy of that button because it definitely can lead to some confusion.
In other words, the option still exists to send notifications for new payments without inviting someone as a user of the account. For now, it's just the button copy that doesn't make it very clear, but the option is still there if you follow the steps I just shared.

Maryse from ZeffyI'm aware of the "invite collaborators section" and that is the problem. For someone to recieve an invite, they have to log in. My clients can't do that in law enforcement. I have to log in for an additional account for myself as a collaborator for the account that oversees the funds (I have a main email for all 33 accounts...but now I have to have an additional log in from my viewing account because the main email was a placement for access to Zeffy.

I get notifications when invited people don't log in.
