Required Option for Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ) per ticket
A
Arras
I would like the capability of marking questions that were set up per ticket to be required when using the MCQ type. I configured some MCQs per ticket and also used the "Only for specific tickets", but didn't get the "required" flag. So some users were able to purchase tickets without completing some of the questions.

Multi-Select Response needs a “Please Select” Default for Required Question

It would be nice if a required question for multi-select responses in ticketing would show in the drop-down box as “Please Select” and gives them a red stop-notice if they did not select something for that question. As it is set right now, whatever is put in Option 1 is selected by default, so if the user does not go through the list, whatever you input as Option 1 is automatically chosen for them, and the user is not stopped and notified that they didn’t go through that required question when they submit the form. If I put “Please Select” in Option 1 and the user submits the form without selecting, I would just receive a form back from the user that says “Please Select,” so that work-around is not a good solution. It would be nice if they are stopped to go back and answer it before submitting.

This really must be fixed. We use MCQs for clothing sizes in our online store. If someone skips the question, or if we use the workaround and they keep the field as "--" or "select size", then we have two problems:
(1) inventory isn't properly decremented and
(2) we have to contact the customer and ask them for a size before we can fulfill their order.
And... there's actually a 3rd problem - if you didn't see this post or figure out the workaround then you're potentially fulfilling orders with the wrong size item due to the fact that the size is automatically filled with the first option.

Change/remove default response for "questions per ticket" and mark as required.

Right now the question automatically fills with the first answer by default. This means that even if it's marked as required, because it's also automatically answered so ticket purchasers don't actually look at the possible answers and/or change them.
This is making all of our ticket purchasers "choose" option "A" by default because they skip the question.
I'd like to be able to either select which answer will be the default, or ideally choose that there is no default (answer stays empty) so that an answer HAS to be chosen.

Hi Larissa! Thank you for your feedback. I'll keep this request open, but in the meantime I wanted to suggest a workaround! You could make the first default option empty, such as "--" or "Please make a selection" so that you can more easily identify those who did not edit the answer vs. those who actually chose the first option.

Maryse from Zeffy Yes, I use this workaround, however, some users still leave the answer as "Please make a selection" and skip the question. Having it be blank or be "Please make a selection" and requiring the user to choose one would resolve this issue.

It will be very useful to be able to make mandatory a multiple choice question . Tks and regards Denis.

Chemin: Hi Denis! Thanks for your feedback! The multiple choice question is required by default, this is why we do not have the option to make it required or not. Your donors must select an option to complete their payment. I hope this helps, thanks again for your comment :)

Excellente idée de pouvoir rendre obligatoire les questions à choix multiples avec plusieurs options. Une nette amélioration à venir ;)
