Our biggest goal is to make Zeffy the single place our families go for everything. Right now, we still have to use SignUpGenius for volunteer sign-ups and Google Forms for lottery entries and parent interest forms. We'd love to eliminate those additional platforms and keep everything within Zeffy.
Some features that would make this possible include:
Standalone forms that don't require creating an event or "free ticket."
Volunteer sign-ups with available shifts and slot limits.
Waitlists for volunteer positions.
Interest forms and committee sign-ups.
Lottery/raffle-style interest forms with one submission per family.
The ability to randomly select winners from submitted entries.
Custom fields for student name, teacher, grade, and classroom.
Automatic confirmation emails after submission.
A parent-facing dashboard where families can view or edit their submissions.
I believe these features would be valuable not only for PTOs and PTAs, but also for booster clubs, youth sports organizations, scout troops, and many other nonprofits that coordinate volunteers.
If Zeffy offered these capabilities, our PTO could likely retire several other tools and manage nearly all of our fundraising, events, volunteers, and parent engagement in one platform.
