Zeffy Platform Donation Tracking

Would love to be able to see out of our population who is actually donating to the Zeffy platform and how much. We have determined if it is not a lot, we would like to make a yearly contribution to Zeffy on behalf of our non-profit as a thank you. We also have complaints of “fees” and want to see if people are understanding that they can change that amount if they choose to. Just a separate column in the exported spreadsheet would be nice, not as a part of the total sale.

We also would like to have this functionality! Being able to see at a glance if someone is contributing to Zeffy would be able to help us troubleshoot and be able to assist the donor with more precision. It would be great to have 2 separate fields on the Zeffy Donations tab for each donation, and 2 on the Donor tab.
Donation fields:
1) A checkbox field specifying if the donation included a Zeffy contribution 2)An amount field to specify the amount contributed for that donation.
Donor fields:
1) A checkbox on their donor record specifying if they have contributed to Zeffy in the past.
2) A text field specifying the date and campaign form that the last Zeffy contribution was made for this donor.
These fields could all be read only, but would greatly contribute to admins being able to assist the donors. This would also help us with processing refund requests because we would know which donation had a Zeffy contribution and we would also be able to know how much was contributed and potentially ask the donor to just reduce the refund amount instead of asking for a full Zeffy contribution refund.

Ability to see tip amounts in payment reports

I want to see if/how much my donors contributed to Zeffy.
If I have to cancel a ticket and the full amount includes a tip, I need to be able to know it and refund it

Yea so, a lot of our donors make contributions and then dispute the donation afterward because "zeffy tricks" them into the tips. We, as an organization have no idea what they paid until zeffy sends us an email that says they are disputing the donation, outlining what they paid vs. what they donated to us. Why isn't this information transparent from the get go.
I get it you are trying to make a profit, but you can still be clear about how you are doing it and how much you are charging the patrons that support our programs.

This is a double edged sword. It costs zeffy stripe fees for the initial donation and the reversal. I can't help but wonder that it would be easier to be up front and tell people its optional.

Ability to see how much Zeffy was paid if a user opted in to support the platform

When patrons/supporters donate to our organization, if Zeffy is paid any amount in tips or donations to support their platform, we have no way of knowing. Give us a heads up or break down anytime one of our patrons/supporters tips Zeffy.

Please make full transaction detail easily accessible

We recently had a donor request a refund on just the Zeffy portion of their donation but it was very difficult to even confirm the amount that was donated. Please make this information accessibly under transaction details &/or donation receipts to make it easier to verify.

Hi Gisele! I understand that your donor has unwittingly made a contribution to Zeffy. Since this contribution must be voluntary as per our business model, we can absolutely issue a refund, no questions asked! :)
For us to issue a refund quickly, we need the donor's e-mail address and name, the date of their transaction and confirmation of whether they'd like a full refund of the amount donated to Zeffy, or a partial refund (if they'd like to contribute a smaller amount). I'll make the refund right away, and the donor will receive confirmation by e-mail. The funds will appear on their statement within 3-5 days.
You can reach out to us to make the refund request here : https://www.zeffy.com/home/contact

Maryse from Zeffy Thank you for the reply. This post was not to resolve a requested refund, but to request a new feature so admin roles could have full transaction detail to be able to quickly verify the amount a donor chose to also give to Zeffy. Such a feature would make it easier to confirm the amount of a requested refund.

Gisele: Thank you for the precision! Let me reopen and merge the request here. :)

While we are able to see payments and donations to our organization, transparency is needed to be able to see who also donated to Zeffy and how much. This would be useful for customers that are unsure why amounts were collected from their payment method that are different than what they expected through their donation.

I'm losing donations because people are getting tired of getting charged huge fees on top of it. Zeffy doesn't ask, they just add it on and hopefully no one sees it. I've had to refund some ticket registrations and got berated by furious donors swearing they would never donate through Zeffy again knowing that they're getting charged huge fees that aren't getting back to us and won't get returned if they end up having their ticket refunded. It should be defaulted to $0 with a POP-UP to opt in for donating to Zeffy before they submit, that way they have to acknowledge it. I can't lose these frequent donors because of fees they get charged just for donating. At this point, I'd almost rather switch to one of the other platforms that take fees out of our end so that way people aren't seeing it.

Report & See how much a person paid for the platform fees

Customers say they were charged $20, but I can only see they were charged $15 because I cannot see what they paid in platform fees. This has become a problem when providing customer service. It would also be nice to know how many customers are paying the fees and how much they are paying.

This needs to be fixed. We cannot see the entire amount a person spent, and can't match purchases sometimes. Because it's a fee, it doesn't show up on their tax form. It's currently setup in a way that is a shock to customers at the end and also fees like a hidden bait and switch. Because we can't see it, we can't offer the customer support that goes with it.
